A visit to a small sewage works at Pudleigh where the Yellow-browed Warbler showed very well. In fact, it was too close at times and was better for photography when it flew out onto the filter beds. The probable Siberian Chiffchaff seemed to react to a recording of a Siberian Chiffchaff call, but being picky close examination of photographs does appear to show just a hint of yellow in the scapulars, though this seems to be exaggerated by the harsh light. Nearby, a couple of drake Ring-necked Ducks at Chard Junction.

A Spotted Redshank on the Brue Estuary. Usually you can't get within half a mile of them, but this one was bit more tolerant.

The Little Gull at Avonmouth Sewage Works. Possibly the most disgusting place to go birding in the area. Even as sewage works go, this one is particularly unpleasant.
