November 2011

25 November 2011

Seconds on the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper at Chew Valley Lake. We're unlikely to get anything as good as this for a while. It was still miles away but in nicer light than last time. These shots are of course, rubbish - but if you've seen it you'll know the distance involved! If you can't tell which one it is, you're best off looking at the photo of the pretty Canada Goose below.

The teeny, tiny probable Richardson's Canada Goose at Torr Reservoir.

12 November 2011

A very showy late Northern Wheatear on the Axe Estuary. They don't often pose quite so nicely.

6 November 2011

A great day today. First the Isabelline Wheatear near Wernffrwd on The Gower then a couple of Snow Buntings on The Axe Estuary just before dark. I may upload a couple more Wheatear shots if I get time.
